I just installed ubuntu 9.10, along side xp, on my eeepc 900 and everything seemed to be working perfectly. Until one day grub started acting funny. After turning the computer on it loads grub fine, but choosing the latest version of ubuntu only gives me a black screen then brings me back to grub. It does it with the recovery mode as well. Its just an endless cycle! Loading to windows is spotty sometimes. It usually works, although last night i got a blue screen of death. Unfortunately when it popped up I didn't catch the error, my "turn it off and turn it on again" reflex kicked in (major newb at this stuff) and it hasn't poppped up again. However I found that if i go into bios and quit out of it, ubuntu will load just fine from grub the first time. I don't even have to change anything in bios, just going in will do the trick. I don't know whats up with it, got any clues? Thanks
