Hi all.
I downloaded the latest version of Ubuntu (9.10) in a XP computer, as a .ISO file. I burned it into a CD an know i'm trying to upgrade my 9.04 ubuntu version. the thing is that, now, ubuntu starts to download it, in stead of upgrading from the CD! I don't really feel like waiting for it to finish downloading, and I was wondering... is there any way to copy and paste my dowladed version into the folder where it is now downloading? BTW, I do not know where it goes the downladed version ;)
I don't know if I made myself clear but.. i'm not a native speaker so... here it is!! any help would be appreciated! Thanks

For an inplace upgrade (not a clean install), you want to use the Alternate CD instead of the Desktop CD. See how-to steps here http://www.ubuntulinux.org/getubuntu/upgrading

32-bit torrent http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.10/ubuntu-9.10-alternate-i386.iso.torrent

64-bit torrent http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.10/ubuntu-9.10-alternate-amd64.iso.torrent

Cheers!
