grub 2 update today

Software manager wants to update to grub 2 for karmic. Should you upgrade if you have no issues whatsoever with how grub is working atm? Does upgrading affect any of your boot records or how they might be interpreted?

I guess if there is an interpretation problem, we will soon enough have a live cd or recovery console method for restoring to old version?

I just upgraded and rebooted. Grub2 works fine. It is still in beta, therefore, there will continue to be upgrades.
