Hello,
Newbie here tring to install 9.10. Here is the issue. I have a Nvidia force 5500. The only way I can install or use the live CD is to go into bios and change the default display to intergraded. Then I have to move the monitor cable from the card to the onboard monitor connection. (no 3d on this one). I did try installing with the intgraded option, worked fine. However once I tried to install the drivers for the Nvidia card still no output from card. I did follow the instructions from other posts. DLL lastest driver run terminal then sudo su nividia*.run. Seemed to install ok but still no video through card. Then once I changed the bios back to PCI ubunto 9.10 sticks at a flashing cursor. I have since deleted 9.10 and edit the windows boot.ini not to load the boot menu. However I really want to start useing ubuntu so any help will be greatly appreciated.
