I'm a dangerous noob. I set the boot timeout to 0 using startup manager and now can only boot to Win XP (my default for the rest of he family). I was able to access "/etc/default/grub" from a Puppy Linux live disk and reset the timeout and save the file, but how can I run "update-grub" to reset the grub and let me boot to Karmic? I can not figure how to do this from a ubuntu live cd.
