View Full Version : Eclipse Main Menu not appearing
November 6th, 2009, 09:32 AM
I have just upgraded my Ubuntu to 9.10. I was having problem with global menu so I removed it and now I am not able to see main menu bar(file, edit, view, project) in eclipse. Is there any way to get the menu back in eclipse?

Welcome to the forums.
You are not the first one who has problems with Eclipse on Ubuntu 9.10. Fortunately, there seems to be an easy fix for most of the problems:

Thanks for help.
I tried all those hack but still my menu bar is not appearing. I deleted eclipse and downloaded new one still it does not show me any main menu toolbar on top of eclipse window. I had mac4lin theme which I just uninstalled (thought it might be affecting to main menu). Do you have any other idea why this is happening?

Ubuntu(9.10) re-installation solved the problem. I had upgraded ubuntu from 9.04 to 9.10 but it didn't work but now its working... :)
