I am using Xfce with mythbuntu. Where is the sound manager? I have no sound while running mythbuntu, but can not find a menu item / icon to examine my sound settings.

My other harddrive has Ubuntu 9.04 and the sound is fine.

Thank you.

EDIT: I forgot something: Yes, I checked the "Setting Manager" and other possible menu items. There is no icon / item related to sound. Perhaps I need to install a plugin?

Do you see "Mixer" in the "Multimedia" menu? If not, install xfce4-mixer.
