What do you think of my idea for virtual desktops in KDE/Compiz?

I think it would be a nice thing, but not going to lose sleep over it. If implemented, should be a secondary key combo which would provide that functionality (because I don't want to have to hit some key to get back in)

ah but not just drag! Actually INTERACT! So you can type in them and stuff! And so you can drag them... on the CUBE! :)
