Ok so I installed 9.10 i386 on my pc. Only problem is that the grub loader that used to be there is gone and ******* xp boots automatically. I have two physical hard drives (one 500gb and one 1tb). Both are partitioned; ******* is installed on a smaller partition of the 500gb drive, and ubuntu on a smaller partition of the 1tb. Funny thing was when I installed 9.10 it never detected the ******* OS and at the time I thought nothing of it, however now I believe that not detecting ******* may have tricked the install into thinking it was the sole OS, thus it didn't install the grub boot loader. Maybe I'm wrong but either way I'm hoping someone can tell me how to make ******* give me the option to boot 9.10 Or if I should just format the ubuntu partition and try again.
I tried doing this trick: http://ubuntuguide.net/install-ubuntu-910karmic-from-windows-xp-dual-boot-system but had no luck.
Thanks for any help fellas.
