The purpose of this thread is threefold.

1. To tell you about a fantastic way to stop smoking
2. Stop hijacking the 'Esoteric Mega-Thread'
3. Bragging :p

About two weeks ago, I was looking for a way to kill an hour or two of spare time. There was some chess program on TV, so I thought I'd get some chess software and play for a while. Somehow, I ended up here (http://www.amazon.com/Easy-Way-Stop-Smoking-Non-Smokers/dp/1402718616/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1257417619&sr=8-1) instead. I got the book and spent the night reading it (I haven't slept that night at all). In the morning, I was no longer a nicotine slave :D

Obviously, I highly recommend the book :p

Peace

All smokers are trying to quit :) Give that book a try, it's probably different from everything you've tried so far.

Congrats!!!!
Thanks!!! :)

Read that one 15 years ago.

Everything it says makes complete sense.

Still smoking though.

Tragic thing is that the author died of lung cancer more than 20 years after giving up.

Maybe because he allowed smoking in his sessions??

I had no idea, but I'm sure he spent those 20 better and died a happier man.
His way seems to work for 95% of smokers and I'm sorry it didn't work for you.

I wish his way worked for me. The thing is I can see exactly what he`s saying and I can understand how it works, it`s just those nicoteen demons are stronger in me (or I am weaker than most).

I`d have no hesitation in recommending his book though.

Where I live, smoking is still considered 'cool'. You can smoke almost anywhere. So, I wasn't really offending anyone except myself :p

I never managed to quit that way. Since you're already trying to quit, you should definitely try the book. Nothing to lose...

9 weeks ago I quit smoking after 26 years..
I had a couple of hard weeks but really it's much easier as I expected.
I feel much better, I save a hole lot of money (about 15 Euro's a week) and I feel like I have twice as much time to spend.
Never regretted it eventhough I still have a hard time sometimes..

This date will never come.

If you really want to quit, do it at once.

It's easy, you just truly have to want it.

Not "I want to, because I think it's bad for me", but a true "I want to quit, it bothers me that I smoke, I don't enjoy it, I don't want to smoke anymore!"
