View Full Version : [ubuntu] ubuntu 9.04 hangs when starting.

Hi,
i have installed ubuntu 9.04 . When ever i try to start my laptop ubuntu gets loading and at stage : username and password , it hangs. after restarting twice or thrice it is getting solved. facing the same problem frequently.
any suggestion to solve this issue.

It might be a problem with the graphics system. Do you have any problems when you boot in Recovery Mode (command line only)?

NO i dont have any problem in Recovery mode. If at all it is a grapical problem , then how to solve this ...
config is more than wat u specified...

Boot in recovery mode, and chose xfix. Maybe you can get a new desktop configuration that way. If you get a desktop, and are connected to the internet, see if you can install a third-party driver for your graphics card. Look in the System --> Administration --> Hardware Drivers.
