In a glorious moment (and for reasons unknown to the common sense) I decided to uninstall Python 2.5 and 2.6 while at the same time installed 3.1. Of cource I didn't pay any attention to the list of the components that they were to be uninstalled.
And, therafter, in the next boot I have only a command line, I can log on and off but nothing more.
I tried
apt-get install python but it gives me a list of components and it prompts me to use apt-get autoremove.
What can I do?

it sounds so easy..
I booted as root with network capability
I logged in as root
I executed:

aptitude install ubuntu-desktop
I waited for a while..
And...
I'm posting it from my great Karmic Koala!!
