Technically, if you're throwing dice, you're going to be throwing them slightly differently every time. If you threw them exactly the same, they'd give the same result every time. (And you'd be able to make a LOT of money at craps tables).

It's most often attributed to Einstein, sometimes Ben Franklin, but I can't find a direct citation for either.

And it's a great little axiom, one that works in a multitude of situations.
