View Full Version : Is firefox 3.5.4 slow and glitchy for anyone else?

The new firefox in karmic is absolutely horrible for me. So much so, that I have switched to opera. (which works great) Is anyone else having issues with the latest firefox?

No, I installed from the Mozilla site and it screams.

3.5.4 is (for me) such a relief after 3 in jaunty
still no match for chromium's speed though

3.6 beta 1 is out and they have done wonders with the wonderbar. It is the speediest I have ever seen firefox go. There is just one repaint glitch that is mildly annoying.

IIRC, to me, 3.5 was fine. i thought that firefox 3.6 and 3.7 is buggy.

But, i was wrong, simply running my own dns server, make ff flying.

I've noticed some slow browsing myself, so I came here to see if anyone else was experiencing the same. At times it seems great but other times it takes a while to find pages.

That's why I've switched over to opera. It has some nice built in options. Firefox is OK in jaunty, but overall, opera seems a lot faster. But in karmic, it's almost unusable for me. Go figure.
