Skype does not offer a download for Ubuntu 9.04.
Tried their versions for 8.04 and 8.10. (Using Skype Version 2.1.0.47)
The microphone does not work for either of them.
The called party only hears a 'waterfall' sound.
However, we can hear the called party clearly.
All microphone settings are correctly enabled.
In the 'Sound Devices' section in Skype, I cannot choose any devices.
It defaults to "PulseAudio server (local)" and there are no other options.
The same symptoms occur on two different computers.
Any feedback is appreciated. Many thanks.
