View Full Version : [ubuntu] 9.10 shut down issue (post upgrade)

I made the jump to 9.10 All's good and cool.

BUT shutdown of the system is the problem. Screen hang after ext.3 journaling error. "control alt delete" doesn't release system to prompt. Hard shut down only.

I originally installed hardy on top of Win7 So I'm not sure how to run Disk repairs from Ubnutu - any assistance would be great. Ran the Windows disk repair no changes.

next time you boot try using the repair option
just follow on screen options
also "control alt delete" is for windows
if I remember right it's clt+shift+backspace

Thanks for the hints. It got me to the coreect spot root level running e2fs ....
Well I can't "dierct it to the drives. How do I indicate that drive "c" sata 0 1 or MY Ubuntu drive...
Dumb question I know!
