It seems that my compose button - my right CTRL - is not functioning correctly anymore.
It use to have a dual function; if I press it together with C,V,X, whatever it acted just as CTRL does, but if I press it by itself, it will act as compose.
It worked perfectly before, but now it doesn't. I think it has to do with a package upgrade, but obviously I don't know which.
Also normally, hitting three times ctrl would launch Google Desktop, but with right CTRL that doesn't work anymore either.
If in System > Preferences > Keyboard > Layout > Other Options I turn right CTRL as compose off, the CTRL function is resotred, but obviously, compose is turned off.
So now I'm left with only one working CTRL key :(
