help after upgrade from 8.04....

after upgrading mine and my wifes laptops(both are dell), now upon shutdown hers makes a loud beep.... mine dont..... anybody know how to get it to stop with that loud beep when you shutdown, i have looked in all the sound settings i can find....

It disables all system beeps, but it does accomplish disabling the loud beep on shutdown.
