Hello, I now have the 9.04 desktop disk. I want to be able to dual boot windows, and ubuntu. Now when installing it, it asks where I want it to be installed, do I say "C" drive so it will be a dual boot with my windows?

Also, Whats the minimum space I can enter?

And last, Do I have to use a username and password, I am the only one on the pc? Thanks

Are you installing it inside windows, or booting from the cd? If you are running it inside windows it doesn't really matter where you put it and if you're booting the ubuntu cd and creating new partitions its all done for you - just follow the prompts! You don't need to specify a drive.

I don't know the absolute minimum, but I wouldn't recommend anything less than 10G. for comfortable working.

Yes. But you can set it to automatically log you in.

Reboot your pc directly from the disc. Select install. everything will be clear, its an easy installation. If you cant on 9.10 then i dont know. my lil sister of 13 installed for her friend

Doesn't make any difference. Good luck!

If your computer has ME on it does this mean it is an older computer, if so you may want to check it meets the minimum system recommendations which are available on the Ubuntu Home pages.

Did you look here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SystemRequirements? The recommended here is 384Mb, but you should be able to install with 256. Or you could try xubuntu, which is only needs 192.
