Huawei E169

Is there any solution to make internet-connection with 3G Huawei E169 device in 9.10?
In 9.04 it works very fine, but in 9.10 internet-connection looks like impossible.
In my country 30 % of internet connections are wireless in 3G, and tihis is big problem in Ubuntu 9.10.

There have been a few threads about the Hauwei modem recently. See this thread for some solutions:

The other thread mentioned is about some earlier problems. If the modem worked in 9.04 but does not in 9.10, it is probably a case of Bug #446146 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/446146).
