Hi,
I'm in Uganda at slow end of the information superhighway (sic).
I downloaded the Karmic alternate CD via torrent, then carried out a (successful?) upgrade. BTW, upgrade from fully-patched Jaunty system (Actually, think this was the smoothest upgrade so far mostly).
However, Update Manager is now suggesting that a so-called 'partial upgrade' is needed, amounting to 325 updates, which add up to 491MB.
So tell me, what was the point of using the CD upgrade option?
Did I miss something? Looks like I'm being asked to essentially re-upgrade.
