Howdy,
I fell in love with Ubuntu Linux when I got a Dell 15 N. So, when I got a new desktop machine, it had to be dual boot.
The video resolution won't go above 800x600 on new machine; not good...
lspci on the new machine returns:
VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation GeForce 7100 / nForce 620i (rev a2)
I presumed that I had a problem with the video driver. But after several days of searching the net, and trying various things, the problem remains unresolved.
I've even gone to the nVidia site and tried to download a restricted driver. But trying to find the correct driver was confusing at best. And when I thought I'd found the right one, a Linux version was not an option...
Any ideas, help, or vectors to tutorials?
