For the mail notification icon on Ubuntu 9.10, If I download thunderbird, will it notify me when thunderbird mail comes in, or does it only work for evolution?

I have Thunderbird 2, and at least the indicator-applet doesn't work for me. Hopefully Thunderbird 3 will implement it.

It should - try "autodetect" under properties.

You must be signed in to Yahoo! in order to receive new mail alerts.
You must have the Yahoo Mail icon visible in your toolbar also, to see these alerts.
To add it to your toolbar in Classic, click the pencil icon.
From the drop down menu, select Personal Options->Add/Edit buttons. Check the box next to "Yahoo Mail" then go to the bottom and click "Finished."
