A quikkie ... The 3G network went 'down' for some time here in the early hours of the morning, I had my first system crash. Does apport save the log anywhere, as without internet connection I could see no way of saving it to be uploaded to Launchpad. I've taken the 13 screenshots of the full report - Are they of any interest to the dev team, and, how the heck do i post them into the correct area ?

hi,what is Launchpad and apport?

Launchpad is used for filing bugs. 9.10 will automatically ask you to file a 'bug' if it finds one - Setting up a launchpad account is quick, painless & free !!

Apport is part of crash reporting system https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport, which I'm figuring is what drives the crash report to launchpad.

Ooops, thanks for the reply. It has done it again since & is a known bug - I've reported it to launchpad & tagged 'it affects me' to the relevent thread - we await the outcome - it is currently 'triaged' (Yeah, we had a discussion on the use of 'triage' as a bug status, as well ;) )

I'll mark this as solved, as it is now in 'other hands' :D
