After intalling 9.10 internet connection is very very slow

Since I have installed 9.10 the Internet connection got very very slow, I used dual booting, the Internet connection is fast when I use use vista.
I use NetGear
All the suggestions are welcomed

I have the same problem. I use Transmission to download. I have a dual boot installed too. When I boot into Windows 7, the download speed is about 2XXkbps. When I boot into Ubuntu 9.10, the speed ranges from 1-20kbps. I've disabled the firewall ufw but to no avail.
