now that Karmic is mostly using upstart rather then sysv what is the preferred way to set up services? before you would place a sysv init file in your /etc/init.d folder and run update-rc.d defaults <service name> what do we do now, and what if I install something that tries to install an init service? What is the official way of doing things now?
