I have a laptop that was running 9.04 fine. I wiped the hard drive and installed 9.10 from scratch. It's a 60gb hard drive with a 4gb swap partition. I used ext4. The only way I can get the cd to install is to set "apci=no." The install completes with out any errors. I'll reboot, the grub screen loads, I'll select 9.10 and it boots to nothing. Sometimes it gets as far at the white ubuntu logo, and then i am taken to a black screen and can type on it but nothing happens. Any help?

I have checked all of the hardware for errors (none), checked the install disc for errors (none), and reinstalled (successfully every time) multiple times.

Same issue, but going from 9.10 to 10.04 on a Dell Latitude D505. Any news?
