hi all,
im trying to do a fresh install of 9.10. i burned the image to a cd and rebooted my pc.
the cd boots fine and presents me with the install options menu (after choosing my language).
for me, choosing any option from here results in the live cd starting. also any boot parameters i specify are ignored.
for whatever reason, i cant get the install to harddrive app to start from the live cd - nothing happens when i try - but i dont so much care about that. i want to bypass the live cd entirely. i thought Install Ubuntu would achieve this (and has on installs ive done on other PCs in the last few days).
does anyone have any ideas why the boot menu on the installer image would ignore my selection?
