download install thingy :S

hiya, so yeah it's not perfect but i'm gettin there n it's all goin good :D, but when i download files it says it needs to be opened with an application so i downloaded tlc/tk but can't work out how to install those either any help? thanks :D

You'll need to be more specific, what kind of files are they?

If you're looking for tcl, it's in Synaptic.
