In 9.04 there was a "services" panel that was filed under Preferences or Administration (I could never figure out the distinction there). It was just a simple gui interface to current running daemons.
If I am not mistaken, this has disappeared somewhere in the update to 9.10. Not a massive problem, but I was fond of its convenience.
So:
1. Is this an Ubuntu change or a GNOME change?
2. Has the panel been deleted, moved, or incorporated into something else?
