I think 9.10 ships out with GNOME 2.28. The release notes (http://library.gnome.org/misc/release-notes/2.28/#rnusers.evince) says that on 2.28, evince has PDF annotating ability. Could someone running 9.04 let me know about this and give your thoughts on the new evince? Thanks.

No sign of annotation features in evince 2.28.1, Karmic up to date. I use xournal for annotating PDFs.

I have Karmic with Evince 2.28.1, but I can't see any way to annotate PDFs. Perhaps someone else will know how to use the annotate feature or maybe it was not included.

From what I have read, the current version of Evince supports editing of existing annotations only - and only of the "pop out window" type. But looks like this should only improve now basic support is included!

In the meantime, I'm still using PDFXChange under WINE to annotate my PDFs...
