Probably the next movie I go see will be Alice in Wonderland.

In my opinion, most movies today are just dumb (and I'm only 21, so I'm not nostalgic or anything). There is way too much reliance on CGI in the action movies. Rather than be creative with it, directors just use it to make these huge over-the-top action scenes that could NEVER happen in real life. Yeah, movies have never been known for realism but it's just ridiculous these days. The comedies tend to suffer from Will Ferrell Syndrome. Let me put it this way: my parents think 'Blazing Saddles' is extremely vulgar and crude. I watched it and was amazed at how subtle and clever the jokes were. Well, except for the beans. :D Every once in a while something comes out that is actually pretty good, but those are few and far between.
