I can't seem to find this package in Karmic. Has it been removed from the repository?

Thanks

Hello Matty,

Compiz is pre-installed with Karmic. What you need is the configuration manager to access it.

Open up the Ubuntu Software Centre, key in Compiz in the search box and install the manager. It will then appear as an item in system-preferences.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

The OP doesn't want compiz, but the unsupported plugins for compiz.

I guess you will find the plugins you want in the packages compiz-fusion-plugins-main and compiz-fusion-plugins-extra.

I would like the plugins in compiz-plugins-unsupported. So is that package officially out of Karmic then?

I guess I'll compile and install from source myself if it is.

I guess so, but have you checked if the plugins were incorporated into those packages I have mentioned above?

They are not. I had to compile unsupported myself.
