I've tried lots of themes. I think the application developers should have a part to play too though.

This is my favourite theme at the moment, perhaps you could try it out:

Everyone is focusing in on the theme, the OP has an agenda extending beyond that..... perhaps ?

Was a KDE user for 2 years but swapped over to Ubuntu about 6 months ago.

That said I HATE the default themes and colours....horrific!

Then I discovered Mac4Lin (a Mac theme) and I love it. That's MY opinion. Once I've got the install sorted, all the codecs, networking etc I then install the Mac4Lin theme and enjoy a fast safe operating system that just works and looks good.

This could be a narrative of my life, but back on topic.

Given the op's history I would recommend switching to Kubuntu, then going here:

Should be right up your street.

And how would you as a new user, know the op's history?

Because if you left click over a users name it says "Find More Posts by...". I found this by accident, many other forums offer this facility. I always read the previous posts of people I am responding to. It gives me information so I do not jump to conclusions. Did I break some forum rule by doing so?

As a new user I would like clarification. Did I do something wrong?

"ThePinkPixieOfDoom" is probably one of the coolest usernames I've seen lately!

I think you are being teased.

You said you knew the OP's history, that suggests a bit more knowledge than merely his "posting" history ;)

You only have to read an account holders history of posts and responses to know something about the individual. It is there for all to see. Nothing Machiavellian about it.
