Upgrade system is really disaster! I have problems with it since 8.4. Anyway, it was never so serious as now.

I tried to upgrade it throughout the internet, but then it crashed and now i cannot access the system. It starts loading, blue kubuntu letters passed and then i get black screen.

I cannot access recovery mod as well, since it stop loading too.

I have very important data on that system. Is there any way to recover them?

I have second hard drive with Windows 7 on it, but it cannot see Linux hard drive

Please help

You have a couple of options:

1) use a live CD/USB to boot your system and copy the files to external media

2) install Ext2 IFS (http://www.fs-driver.org/) on Windows, which will let you see the Ubuntu drive

Don't tell me you started to upgrade to 9.10 WITHOUT having a backup of your data, do you? If you have no backup, it is entirely your fault and don't blame the upgrade, please.

Yeah man, you might as well download the 9.10 live cd, recover your data, and install the OS from the cd afterwards.
