Hello, this is my first post here. I've been using Ubuntu for a few months now on my laptop.
Today I tried to install Kubuntu and Ubuntu too on my girlfriend's PC (I tried Kubuntu 9.10, 9.04 and Ubuntu 9.04), but whenever I try to install it I get three or four thick vertical lines on the right side of the screen which show some part of the left side and also thin horizontal lines on the right side which move in the rhythm of the fan on my power supply unit. Also after the installation when I boot the system I get the same lines.
However, when I install XP everything is normal, there are no lines.
I hope someone can help me out with this. :)
