If this is the wrong forum, I apologize.
My wife speaks chinese, and thus chinese input is a requirement. It took me a number of tries to get ibus working and wubi installed after we upgraded from 9.04 (following instructions in threads in these forums), but I still received "no input method" all the time.
I finally took two steps. Not sure which one was key:
1) Installed hebrew (the choice was random) and rebooted. I suspect this installed something that was needed by wubi.
2) changed my desktop to chinese, then back again (rebooting in-between). This may have cleaned something up.
Hope this helps someone,
-Jeff
edit: forgot to mention, this is on amd 64
