idk if this is the right place for this but after i shut down my comp last night, my desktop has changed to the text version (sorry i cant remember the name) no matter which kernel i choose it takes me to a text driven version of it. Any help? I'm running Ubuntu9.10 and my desktop was... what ever the default is (gnome?) if anyone knows how to help me get the grafic interface back that would be nice.

This seems to be regarding my hard drive, during boot it says it can not mount my hard drive. Then opens some kind of console that gives me access to change things (the text part) *sigh*

Is there anything anyone knows that i can do to try and recover my drive?.. by the looks of things I (with my limited knowledge) would say this means i corrupted it somehow...
