Can't Add Widgets, Always Adds Activity Bar

I can't add new widgets. Especially annoying as I'm now without Task Manager and can't see my open programs!

Every time I select one and click Add Widget, it add the Activity Bar, which isn't selected and doesn't add the one I wanted.

And the Activity Bar takes up the whole panel and does nothing. I'm hoping someone can help asap as Kubuntu is currently unusable to me.

How are you selecting the widgets? You should click on the widget name so it has a big blue box around it. If that isn't working, you can just drag and drop the widgets from the Add Widgets window to where you want them.

Forgot about click/drop. That works OK so no fresh install for me.
