So I have been trying to upgrade for a while now, but thanks to an admittedly complex set of conditions, I have had no success whatsoever.
Basically the upgrade manager always tells me I don't have room for an upgrade. I remembered/re-looked up how to download the alternate install cd and upgrade from there, but it gives me the same message with the same amount of space needed. I would think since most of the files are on the cd, I shouldn't need to have so much free space available.
I have about 1.2-1.4GB free, it usually tells me about 1.8 are needed (seems a bit high...). I also have another partition for data that has 2.5+ free, is there a way to download the packages temporarily to that partition and upgrade from there?
