Hi,
so this is my first upgrade within linux.
to be honest, it did not work as well as i hoped. For one thing, my sounddrivers work only partly (amarok cant play, but exaile can). The other thing is, i can't change my hardware drivers. Currently i have nvidia 173, but i can get 185 to be active cause i don't have the rights. (and i am sure thats the reason i can't use the eyecandies for the desktop either). But i belong to the admin group???? I checked my permissions within the usergroup and i am selected for most.](*,)
This is disturbing. I feel like a noob since i can not even administer my own system.
I am sure there are solutions, but once i have the system set up i will not so easily upgrade again. To risky.
Is there a solution to my problem? I browsed for some time through the forum but nothing worked for me so far. I were spending most of the day to get the system the way i want and now i am tired.:cry:
