My upgrade to 9.10 has frozen while downloading files. How do I restart it. I'm afraid to kill it and leave my system in an unknown state.

I am in the same boat but it froze at 1020 of 1378. Anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do to resolve it?

The servers are being maxed out right now, so there will be delays.

Please be patient, and it should go great.

I'm seeding the torrents right now, and they still seem busy.

The upgrade progress is still stuck at 'Fetching 1020 of 1378'. Should I just cancel and download from a torrent?

Edit: I canceled and it restored system state.

I started the process again since I canceled and it picked back up where it left off and is downloading now.

Yes. I finally got brave enough to try the Cancel button in the Update Manager. That seemed to work, although I'm not sure how safe it is.

After I started the Update Manager again, I chose a different server by clicking on the Settings button on Update Manager's first window.

It seems to pick up where it left off, and this time it is downloading files at a much faster rate so far, about as fast as my connection will allow.

Hoping for the best.

Mine stalled at 20 of 1526. I'm glad two people had good luck with cancel. Is that the official word? Is canceling and starting over the recommended solution?

Alright after canceling and restarting the process it downloaded and installed just fine. I'm running 9.10 now using the upgrade process from 9.04.

Okay, I can also confirm that cancel/restart seemed to work okay.
