Hi
I installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my USB flash drive recently, and then I installed xbmc according to a guide on the swedish page www.xbmc.nu . However, I can't make the audio work – neither the digital (which is the one I'm gonna use in the end) or the analog. I've read the sticker post at the top of the forum, but I'm a real Ubuntu n00b and have no idea where to start. Heck, I don't even know where to check if the audio is muted :D. I have disabled the HDMI-audio on the motherboard, so it shouldn't be that port which are blocking the other.

Where shall I start at the sticker post? Is there any way to see if some of the audio ports are muted?

Setup:
Motherboard: Asus M4A785D-M
Audio card: an internal VT1708S High definition audio 8-channel
USB-drive: SanDisk Extreme Cruzer Contour 4 GB
Monitor: A NEC-projector, connected with the VGA-cable.

Thanks in regard!
