Hello all.

I have an Acer Aspire ONE netbook.
I downloaded ubuntu-9.10-netbook-remix-i386.iso from http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download-netbook
I don't understand how to make my USB bootable if I don't have Ubuntu installed anywhere, the instructions aren't clear. Is the utility on the *.iso?
do I "drag" the *.iso on to the USB stick?
I just expected more clear instructions, I don't have much time and I need to make this work quickly.
I installed UNR to CD but it does't recognize WiFi. Anything on this?

Thank you!

You can use Unetbootin to make a bootable USB stick, it's quick and simple to use:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/FromUSBStick#UNetbootin%20%28Windows%20or%20Linux% 29

Hi,

Please see my post here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1307594 - although this refers to installing the full Ubuntu 32-bit Desktop onto an Acer Aspire One, not the Netbook Remix version.

You'll need at least one computer running windows or linux.
Then you can use unetbootin to make a bootable USB stick, just read the instructions.

Perfect!! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much. I saw this when I first going through the material but it didn't make sense.
