I had the release candidate installed and running fine, but after updating and rebooting, I get to the grub menu and only have the options for the memtests, pressing c to go to command I am at sh:grub>. I'm on a netbook, so no CD drive to load from. Windows XP is also on here somewhere, but can't get to it either obviously. Anyways, help? Thanks.

typing boot says "no loaded kernel"

I must say, I am very discouraged with the lack of customer support for this ubuntu product and will never purchase another. Im just kidding. ;-P I finally got it fixed, so heres what I did for anybody else that runs into a blank grub menu.

Used Unetbootin to make a bootable USB stick:

After I got loaded off of the usb, I did this (the GUI way):

I think we're all struggling to get to grips with Grub 2, hence the lack of answers for the Grub 2 carnage going on at the moment. Glad you got it sorted out.
