software center not working?

Not sure if anyone else has this problem. When i select a software in Ubuntu software center, there's no button or option available for me to actually "install" the software. I miss the easy add/remove program in 9.04.

(BTW, any updating seems slower than 9.04. Too many people trying to do that now?)

I am having the exact same issue after a clean install. I am checking for updates as I type to see if there might be something out there that addresses this. Otherwise, I will be going back to 8.04.

After doing an update and a reboot, the install buttons appeared, and everything for me is working.
