I updated from a preexisting ubuntu 9.04 system last night, so it kept the grub legacy and did not install grub 2. Today, I tried to install grub 2 myself using a how to here (http://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-grub-2-on-ubuntu-9.04). The chainload worked fine, so I went ahead and executed the upgrade command in the terminal. Now, when I start my computer, grub legacy still wants to load and freezes saying "Error 15." I'm working from a ubuntu 9.04 livecd now, so please keep that in mind for providing instructions. I do not mind reverting back to grub legacy if the error cannot be fixed, either version of grub is fine. I'm on a Macbook2,1. Please help me however you can. Thanks!!
