Can't create swap space

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Karmic on VirtualBox but getting an error similar to: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=934340

I've given it a 4 Gb virtual hard disk to play with.

Is this enough? If so, will I need to use gparted to install Karmic? If so, are there any instructions?
