Using the live option I have tried Ubuntu 9.10 and Kubuntu 9.10 and they both change the time to universal GMT in the computer that is used.
The statement that you can try the live mode and nothing is written to the hard disk maybe true however the cmos of the clock is changed.
Other than that, I like what I see.
