View Full Version : [gnome] firefox jpeg rendering problem

October 31st, 2009, 04:19 AM
Many, but not all, jpegs are rendered by Firefox 3.5 in Ubuntu release 9.10, with red "overcast." An example is the owl at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ILbirds/. The image, when saved, appears fine in Gimp and Gwenview.

This could be a color profile issue, I assume. I am running failsafe gnome because when gnome itself runs with compix it hangs and keyboard and cursor are lost.

Yes, it is a color profile issue. See Solution [FOT007] from the Troubleshooting section of the Firefox optimization and troubleshooting thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1193567&highlight=FOT007).
